TNN | Apr 4, 2015, 02.00 AM IST
BICHOLIM: Another person from Palli, Sattari, succumbed to fever and vomitting on Friday.

Anant Ainkar, 36, from Palli, Sattari, was admitted to the community health centre at Valpoi on March 25 and was referred to the district hospital at Mapusa on March 26. As he began vomitting blood, he was shifted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC). On April 1, he was shifted to the ICU ward as his condition worsened and early Friday morning he died.

Villagers are anxious as this is the fourth such death in a month. Twenty nine persons have fallen sick over the month. Ainkar had been helping out the sick as part of community service...

The victim's wife and 3 daughters are fine at this point, so this is probably not highly infectious if it is infectious at all.
