Saudis review MERS cases with WHO, CDC experts

RIYADH ? Acting Minister of Health Adel Fakeih reviewed the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) coronavirus cases with the experts of World Health Organization (WHO) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) who are visiting the Kingdom at the invitation of the Health Ministry.
On Wednesday, a Saudi national died in Buraidah of MERS-coronavirus and another citizen was hospitalized in a critical condition in Riyadh. This brings the total number of MERS cases in the Kingdom to 817, of which 351 succumbed to the virus.
The meeting of the experts discussed the methods and mechanism to respond to the coronavirus. They also reviewed the results of the recent visit by the delegation to Taif and their views on the measures implemented by the ministry to deal with the cases there...
