The increase of the number of suspect cases of the Influenza To (H1N1), in the last two months, took the Subcoordenadoria of Vigilance Epidemiol?gica (Suvige) of the General office of State of the Public Health (Sesap) to give out a new alert to the professionals of health, in special to the pediatricians.
From the beginning of this year they were already 22 notifications for H1N1, being 7 confirmed cases, of which a death. Ten cases were discarded. Others wait for analysis in laboratory.
The three the newest victims of the disease were interned between the days 10 of January and 2 of March, being an adult and two children. This year, 71,5 % of the persons attacked by the disease was younger than 14 years, being a 42,9 % with age between five and nine years and 28,6 % younger than one year.
Therefore, explained the person in charge for the control of the Influenza To (H1N1), in the context of the Suvige, Stela Leal, the technical alert note in special to the pediatricians, for the necessity of intensification of the vigilance and monitoramento of the respiratory sharp diseases (colds, influenzas and pneumonias).
