A man of 42 years in Ja?n died by influenza A

A 42 year old man died today in hospital San Juan de la Cruz Municipal jiennense
Ubeda a result of complications arising from the H1N1 virus, as confirmed to
Europa Press hospital officials said.

The man, who entered the last day 8 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the said center
hospital, had an underlying condition that worsened the symptoms of influenza A and finally
eventually causing death today. In particular, according to the same sources, the man was suffering
morbid obesity and was a former smoker.


This is the first death related to the H1N1 virus that has transpired in the province
Jaen, so that health authorities have done an "appeal for calm" before the
data showing that the disease causes in 95 percent of those affected with symptoms
mild.

Un hombre de 42 a?os ha fallecido hoy en el hospital San Juan de La Cruz del municipio jiennense de ?beda a consecuencia de las complicaciones derivadas del virus H1N1, seg?n confirmaron a Europa Press fuentes sanitarias.

El hombre, que ingres? el pasado d?a 8 en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) del citado centro hospitalario, ten?a una patolog?a de base que agrav? la sintomatolog?a de la gripe A y finalmente acab? caus?ndole hoy la muerte. En concreto, seg?n las mismas fuentes, el hombre, padec?a obesidad m?rbida y era ex fumador.

Se trata del primer fallecimiento relacionado con el virus H1N1 que ha trascendido en la provincia jiennense, por lo que las autoridades sanitarias han realizado un "llamamiento a la calma" ante los datos que muestran que la enfermedad cursa en un 95 por ciento de los afectados con s?ntomas leves.
