Comunicado del Departamento de Salud sobre la Gripe A
Seg?n la informaci?n recogida por el sistema PIDIRAC (Plan de Informaci?n de las Infecciones Respiratorias Agudas en Catalu?a), la actividad gripal por el nuevo virus de la gripe A (H1N1) muestra una intensidad baja y por debajo del umbral epid?mico. La tasa de incidencia de s?ndromes gripales registradas por la red centinela es de 59,19 por cada 100.000 habitantes.
En cuanto a la vigilancia de casos producidos por el nuevo virus de la gripe A (H1N1), la mayor?a han presentado un cuadro gripal leve, con una recuperaci?n en pocos d?as, aunque se han producido un total de 771 casos graves, de los cuales 688 ya han sido dados de alta hospitalaria. En estos momentos se encuentran en la UCI 12 casos graves. Esta semana se han producido 4 defunciones en Catalu?a como consecuencia de la gripe A, que registra, a fecha de hoy, 48 defunciones.
Las 4 ?ltimas defunciones corresponden a un hombre de 79 a?os con patolog?as previas, una mujer de 30 a?os con patolog?as previas, una mujer de 60 a?os sin patolog?as previas y una mujer de 70 a?os con patolog?as previas.
A lo largo de la semana que va del 14 al 20 de enero, la actividad en los hospitales de agudos, en cuanto al n?mero de urgencias atendidas, ha sido superior en relaci?n a la semana anterior (57.569, que supone un incremento del 4,8%) pero inferior en un 10,6% si comparamos con la misma semana del a?o anterior. En cambio, el n?mero de pacientes ingresados (6.434) ha sido inferior tanto a la semana anterior (3,2%) como respecto a la misma semana del a?o anterior (3%).
Los hospitales infantiles han aumentado, si comparamos con la semana anterior, la actividad de urgencias atendidas en un 6,7% (3.074) y las urgencias ingresadas en un 2,1% (335), pero, aun as?, est? por debajo de la misma semana del a?o anterior en un 21,8% y 12% respectivamente.
En cuanto a la actividad de los centros de atenci?n primaria ya la actividad domiciliaria han aumentado un 42,4% (769.567 visitas) y un 30,5% (23.159 hogares) respectivamente si comparamos con la semana anterior. En cambio, los centros de atenci?n continuada (ACUT) han disminuido tanto en visitas (42.926) como en atenci?n domiciliaria (2276) que representan una disminuci?n del 11,6% y un 18,2% respectivamente.
Tanto las llamadas como los domicilios al 061 han tenido un decremento, respecto a la semana anterior, de un 1,1% y un 6,2% respectivamente.

Department of Health Statement on Influenza A
Based on information gathered by the system PIDIRAC (Plan Info acute respiratory infections in Catalonia), influenza activity by a new influenza virus A (H1N1) shows a low intensity and below the epidemic threshold. The incidence rate of influenza-like illness recorded by the sentinel network is 59.19 per 100,000 inhabitants.
Regarding the monitoring of new cases caused by influenza virus A (H1N1), most have presented a mild flu-like box, with a recovery in a few days, although there were a total of 771 serious cases, of which 688 have been discharged from hospital. At present there are 12 serious cases in the ICU. This week there were 4 deaths in Catalonia as a result of influenza A, which records to date, 48 deaths.
Four correspond to the recent deaths of a man aged 79 with pre-existing conditions, a 30 year old woman with pre-existing conditions, a woman 60 years without previous pathology and a woman aged 70 with pre-existing conditions.
Throughout the week from 14 to 20 January, activity in acute hospitals, regarding the emergency number given has been higher in relation to the previous week (57,569, an increase of 4.8%) but lower in 10.6% if compared with the same week last year. In contrast, the number of inpatients (6,434) was much lower with respect to the previous week (3.2%) as compared to the same week last year (3%).
Children's hospitals have increased, if compared with the previous week, the activity of emergencies attended at a 6.7% (3,074) and 2.1% admitted to an emergency (335), but even so, is below the same week last year on a 21.8% and 12% respectively.
Regarding the activity of primary health care centers and home activity increased by 42.4% (769,567 visits) and 30.5% (23,159 households) respectively when compared with the previous week. But continuing care centers (ACUT) have declined in both visits (42,926) as in home care (2276), representing a decrease of 11.6% and 18.2% respectively.
Both calls as 061 homes have had a decrease, towards the previous week, a 1.1% and 6.2% respectively.
