Study supports concept of 2-stage H5N1 vaccination

Not a surprise.
These preliminary findings need to be confirmed in larger studies, but they offer the intriguing possibility that pre-pandemic priming with existing H5N1 vaccines may boost the immune response to a different H5N1 vaccine tailor-made years later to thwart an emerging pandemic," NIAID Director Dr. Anthony S. Fauci commented in a news release.

"intriguing" ???

I spend tree month screaming this "priming" need in the XXXXX's lab.

There is no reason to wait for the explosion of the pandemic.
There is very low chance reassortment happen.

With a trivalent H5N1 vax including the tree majors clades of circulating strains, you will get a vax 98.5% close to all the actuals human causing strains.
Vaccine analysis - What do wort the current experimental vaccines ?

It would be better than spend time & money on study we already know what would be the tresults.
