One suspected case of swine flu in Five Hills Health Region, which includes Moose Jaw

There is currently a suspected case of swine flu in the Five HIlls Health Region, which includes Moose Jaw.
?There is a suspected case in Five Hills,? said Craig Beesley, public relations officer for Five HIlls. ?The case in Five Hills, to my knowledge, is not someone who is seriously ill.?
The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health has been making preparations to deal with the swine flu at a provincial level.
To date there have been no confirmed cases of swine flu in the province, but there are currently three suspected cases under investigation, one of which is the Five Hills case.
?I just want to emphasize that all cases being reported outside of Mexico are mild cases,? said Saskatchewan?s Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Moira McKinnon. ?Nevertheless, we are concerned and preparing as if this a pandemic.?
McKinnon addressed members of the media in Regina on Monday morning and will continue to present daily updates until such a time that it is no longer deemed necessary.An operations centre has been opened in the Five Hills regional office to liaise with the provincial operations centre and will be staffed throughout the day.
During non-working hours, there will be personnel on standby, so that there will be a senior level representative available 24 hours a day to respond to new information as it comes in.
?We're doing all that we can do in this region with our staff to work with the ministry ? to take steps to assist the preparation for what could come as a result of this particular worldwide event,? said Beesley.
