Taipei, Oct. 22 (CNA) A cluster outbreak of tuberculosis (TB) at a university in Taipei in northern Taiwan has been controlled, a senior official of the Cabinet-level Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday.
Eight confirmed cases have been reported at Shih Hsin University since a student there was diagnosed with TB in September 2010, according to the DOH.
DOH Deputy Director-General Shih Wen-yi said the September case has been confirmed as the commencement of the outbreak. All eight patients have been given medical treatment, he added...
