I've also counted 9 deaths (including 4 children) from media reports since the end of Week 43.

Fitting in with what was said at today's CDC briefing I see that the ILI rate has been declining for three weeks now but the weekly death toll continues to rise.

I wonder if this is simply a reflection of the delay between outbreaks and resulting deaths or if fewer people are seeking treatment when their symptoms aren't serious.
