[h=3]Abstract[/h] In recent years a large amount of data has become available with regard to vaccinating women during pregnancy against influenza and against pertussis. The data comes from observational studies conducted when vaccine was administered as a part of a vaccination campaign, retrospective evaluations of databases and surveillance of the adverse post-vaccination events. Popularization of knowledge about the importance of immunization in this group and educating pregnant women about vaccination should be an essential element of health promotion and prevention programs.
