The Ministry of Public Health estimates that the total respiratory diseases that will occur this year, 60% correspond to conditions related to Influenza A H1N1.

Dr. Carlos Torres, director of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), health portfolio, Cardinal radio recognized that the incidence of this year during the winter months will be similar to last year.

"In cases of respiratory disease, over 60% will be of H1N1" said Torres. "We hope that the behavior is similar to last year," he added.

The health portfolio symbolically kicked off the massive vaccination program Influenza A H1N1 in the Health Center Fernando de la Mora. But from tomorrow there will be a mass vaccination in all health posts.
