Guadalajara .- Two new cases reported last week, accumulating 121 Jalisco patients influenza A-H1N1 and eleven deaths from influenza infection so far in 2010, according to data from the Ministry of Health Jalisco (SSJ).
The Public Health director general of the department, Mario Marquez Jose Amezcua, explained that of 46 suspicious samples were processed in the State Public Health Laboratory last week 44 were negative.
"The confirmed cases then, the 2010 are 121 and continue with the same eleven deaths," he said, noting that accumulated in Jalisco is 4.281 people infected by new virus, April 2009, which declared a health alert against this epidemic to date. Also accumulate 98 deaths.
He reiterated that the epidemic remains at a stable outlook, by other insurance, although the recommendation is that the presence of flu-like symptoms seek medical advice is, especially given the sudden onset of high fever.
The SSJ is still awaiting the result of 40 cases still under review by authorities of the National Center of Epidemiological Surveillance and Disease Control, which will determine whether it was the influenza A-H1N1 cause of death of these individuals or discarded.
