Suspected swine flu victim dies in Turkey - TV

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - A suspected victim of swine flu has died at a hospital in the southern Turkish province of Antalya, broadcaster CNN Turk said on Monday.

No further details were immediately available and the report could not be confirmed.

The patient at the Akdeniz Hospital had displayed symptoms of the illness and that quarantine had been imposed there, CNN Turk said.

There have been no confirmed cases in Turkey of the illness, which has brought much of public life to a standstill in Mexico.

But new cases of the H1N1 virus, which mixes swine, avian and human flu strains, are still appearing across the world, keeping alive fears of a possible
pandemic.
