A reported case of meningitis at Smithville Elementary School led district officials to send home a precautionary letter last week.

The parent of a child at the elementary school notified district officials on April 22 of the possible meningitis case and a letter was sent home to parents that day and posted to the district?s website, Supt. Rock McNulty said in an email...
