TB case confirmed in former Pinkston High School student

Dallas County health officials have confirmed a tuberculosis case involving a student, who attended Pinkston High School last school year.
The county Department of Health and Human Services? TB control unit is working with the infected patient?s family after the student first sought treatment in July for a cough.
A subsequent visit indicated a possible diagnosis of TB and, following protocol, the student was referred to TB Control. A June follow-up visit to Dallas County focused on the symptoms.
