EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/SBG) - About 150 students in the Ysleta Independent School District may have been exposed to tuberculosis, health officials said Thursday.

"We have an individual whose associated with the Ysleta School District who tested positive for tuberculosis," Robert Resendes, director of Public Health Department, said.

The City of El Paso Department of Public Health said it is sending letters to parents telling them that their children may have had close contact with someone with an active case of tuberculosis...

Two people have tested positive for tuberculosis after being screened in the recent investigation into possible exposure at Hanks High School.

The city?s Department of Public Health on Wednesday did not state whether those two people were students, educators or staff at the school, or what connection they had to the East Side campus. Officials said they also cannot yet confirm whether the positive tests are directly tied to the Hanks exposure...
