STAFF in the neonatal unit at Craigavon Area Hospital are being screened as part of an infection control blitz after five babies tested positive for MRSA on their skin.
The babies were found to be carrying the bacteria during routine testing carried out over the past three weeks.
None of the babies was infected with the disease, often termed a ?superbug? because of its resistance to many antibiotics. Three have since been discharged and the two remaining in hospital are said to be ?clinically well?...
