Third swine flu patient dies in London

An 80-year-old man is the third London patient to die after contracting swine flu, it was announced today.
The pensioner, who was terminally ill and receiving palliative care, died at a hospital in north London, NHS bosses said.
It comes after a nine-year-old girl died on Sunday.
She had been admitted to St Thomas' hospital in Lambeth with serious underlying health problems. Tests showed she was also battling swine flu when she died.
A 19-year-old man from Lewisham died last Wednesday after complaining of flu-like symptoms.
He had been suffering from a long-term health condition that caused serious chest infections.
Last week, there were warnings that the number of cases of swine flu could soar to 100,000 a day by the end of next month.
Between 20 and 30 people every day are turning up at St Thomas' A&E department worried they have swine flu.
