Bird flu returns to make their appearance in a poultry farm of the ''Polesine'', the farm owned by Mr Pierangelo Codo, via San Donato a Fiesso Umbertiano (province of Rovigo), where it was identified in its variant A/H5, low pathogenicity. The confirmation after the results of the analysis performed by veterinary of the local health agency ''Ulss 18'' on 18 birds samples, including chickens, ducks and quail that now, as required by law, will be slaughtered.
It is estimated that approximately 2,500 heads are involved. The municipal authorities, meanwhile, have already been informed by the medical communities in the region and are waiting to kick off all the procedures for the culling.
