Veterinarian cautions livestock outbreak after flooding​

(KPL) The Department of Livestock and Fishery Extension warned of the precaution of livestock diseases outbreak that would spark after flooding and during rainy season.
So the Livestock and Fishery Extension Services nationwide were advised to keep on eyes closely to the epidemic of livestock during rainy season and in flood areas.
The epidemic diseases advised to be monitored include haemorrhagic septicemia, foot-and-mouth disease, pig diarrhea and poultry diseases.
The advice is stressed to strengthen cooperation with local authorities, keep vigilant at risk areas with the aim to provide understanding on health care of animals.
Local authorities are also suggested to collect data of animal epidemic diseases and pay attention to prevent the outbreak by mobilising locals in the vaccination campaign.
