WHO admits to mislabeling Taiwan as bird flu area

"Taiwan is not a bird flu infected area nor a part of China," Foreign Minister James Huang told reporters, saying the government had demanded the WHO fix the mistake immediately.
The island had also demanded that Web search company Google stop calling it a "province of China" on its Google Maps service. Google later removed that reference.

The next time you read about the WHO supporting China, remember that they will bend over for China even as much as pretending that Taiwan isn't a nation state in it's own right. Imagine if they did the same with the UK and Ireland if you need perspective.

Well a lot of good bending over for China has done for the WHO so far, or for any of us. On the other hand, they have managed to perturb a soverign nation next door that just might have proven to have been more cooperative than their giant neighbor if the virus reaches them. Too bad they seemed to have burned their bridges there.
