Measles hits Zvimba district

​TEN suspected cases of measles have been recorded in Zvimba district in Mashonaland West province.

According to Zvimba district situational report dated January 14, 2025, the latest case was reported at Sutton Clinic in Mutorashanga.

The first suspected was recorded last year on October 17, 2024, at Plot 8 Maquadzi Farm in Zvimba and the affected community is an ‘Apostolic which accepts health services.’

No death has been recorded so far and all cases have been vaccinated.​

Provincial medical director Celestino Dhege could neither confirm or deny the measles outbreak reports....
