Masvingo District has been hit by foot and mouth disease outbreak that has seen abattoirs being shut down and cattle sales banned in five of the province's seven rural districts.
Cattle movements have also been suspended and there will be no livestock at the province's premium agricultural show in Masvingo on September 26, 2014.
Two districts in the province, Gutu and Bikita are the only ones spared the abattoir closures after they were found to be clean of the outbreak. Masvingo meat is therefore being supplied from Gutu, Bikita and the Midlands...
