Dengue death in Keonjhar: Health Min announces compensation

Bhubaneswar: Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak while reviewing the dengue situation at Barbil hospital in Keonjhar district on Friday announced that compensation will be provided to the family of the woman who died from the disease.
Nayak further said the allegation that the woman died due to negligence in treatment, will be probed upon. He further stated that more beds will be provided at Barbil hospital to treat dengue patients and infrastructural development of the hospital will be undertaken by the department.

DEHRADUN: In the first suspected case of dengue death of this season in Dehradun, a 34-year-old man from Pathribagh in Dehradun died in Delhi this week.

Mangaluru: Three deaths have been reported due to dengue this year in the district.
Of the 763 blood samples tested, 238 tested positive for dengue in 2016 (till July 5). Though 12 cases of death were reported, the death review committee has certified that only three were due to dengue.

KASARAGOD: One more youth succumbed to suspected dengue in the district on Wednesday night. Since the onset of monsoon, six people have died in the district due to dengue in the district.
