DUBAI: All UAE-bound passengers who may bear the symptoms of Nipah virus are encouraged to report immediately to any of the health authorities across the seven emirates.
In a media statement released on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP) also said that it already alerted all points of entry authorities in the UAE to report and quarantine anyone suspected of having been infected by the Nipah virus, also known as NiV.
?MoHaP (emphasises) the need to educate the comers from the affected area the importance of contacting (the) health authorities in cases of any symptoms (similar to those) of Nipah virus symptoms,? the statement read.
?The patient should be isolated immediately (and the health authorities must be contacted).?..:tiphat:http://gulftoday.ae/portal/602b586a-a2ee-4542-aa83-ed0e266ccaa2.aspx
